Softball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Victorious

Wake Christian Academy won the last time they faced Thales Academy Rolesville and things went their way on Friday too. Wake Christian Academy came out on top against Thales Academy Rolesville by a score of 14-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Ava Wulf made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Wake Christian Academy let Claire Chandler and Lea Morgan run wild. Chandler scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4, while Morgan went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Chandler has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Ward, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Wake Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thales Academy Rolesville only posted a batting average of .269.

Wake Christian Academy's record now sits at 4-2. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
