Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Ripley should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Louisville at RIPLEY HS at 7:00 PM. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory.
Ripley won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Calhoun City 7-6.
Meanwhile, Louisville was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on they to the tune of 48-0.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-1. Ripley's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Louisville defensive front that amassed 5.5 sacks against Kemper County last week, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
