Mountain View has gone 8-2 against Provo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Tava'Esina Albert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, two stolen bases, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Josie Castellanos was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Provo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
Provo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mountain View has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Provo, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Mountain View's sizable advantage in that area, the Bulldogs will need to find a way to close that gap.
