Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calhoun Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hunter Thornburg, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Thornburg hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Chase Strickland, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Clarendon Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Calhoun Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Clarendon Hall will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Jefferson Davis Academy at 7:45 p.m. Jefferson Davis Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Calhoun Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dorchester Academy at 7:25 p.m. on January 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Dorchester Academy is ranked 182nd, while Calhoun Academy is ranked 193rd).
