The Springfield Yellow Jackets will challenge the Rossview Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Springfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Clarksville on Wednesday as they made off with a 19-10 victory. The win was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Abigail Hyde and Grace Head did most of the damage at the plate: Hyde fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4, while Head fired off two home runs, five runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those five runs gave Head a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makaylyn Coleman, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Springfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Rossview had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Montgomery Central a 12-0 shutout on Monday. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.
Avery Rauscher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Rossview let Madelyn Fillers and McKenzie Quick run wild. Fillers went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three RBI, while Quick went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Fillers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. MacKenzie Havens was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Rossview's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-10-1.
Springfield skirted past Rossview 7-5 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Yellow Jackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
