Malden had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the South Pemiscot Bulldogs on Friday as Malden made off with an 18-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Green Wave also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Alyssa Broom was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Broom was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
