The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans lost against the Neshoba Central Rockets back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Northeast Lauderdale was outmatched by Neshoba Central on the road and fell 88-36. Northeast Lauderdale has not had much luck with Neshoba Central recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Neshoba Central was led to victory by Lanayah Henry and Kyli Truss. Henry scored 19 points, while Truss scored 22 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for Henry. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailyn Willis, who scored 13 points.
Northeast Lauderdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Neshoba Central, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Lauderdale is on the road again on Friday and play against South Jones at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. South Jones is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Neshoba Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madison Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
