Rochester School for the Deaf has gone a perfect 3-0 against Marie Philip recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Rochester School for the Deaf's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evangeline Fisher-Palmer, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 assists. The matchup was Fisher-Palmer's fourth in a row with at least 19 points. Brooklyn Christenson was another key player, going 8-for-11 to rack up 16 points and six assists.
Fisher-Palmer wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Rochester School for the Deaf was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Marie Philip came up short against Rhode Island School for the Deaf last Wednesday and fell 23-11.
Faith Kirlis was Marie Philip's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Kirlis also led the team in rebounds with 14.
Rochester School for the Deaf pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Marie Philip, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rochester School for the Deaf has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Marie Philip struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
