The Bothell Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season. They took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 61-23 victory over Kentridge. The win was nothing new for Bothell as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kentridge's loss came despite strong showings from Sydney Esperanza and Jayla Keowla. Esperanza scored five points along with seven rebounds, while Keowla scored three points. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Kentridge struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Bothell's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Kentridge, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-2.
Bothell's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Kamiak at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Kentridge and Kaukauna will round out the year against one another at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday at. Kaukauna is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
