Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Wiggins Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They lost to Banning Lewis Academy on the road by a decisive 21-2 margin on Saturday. Wiggins just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Banning Lewis Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Riehle out in front who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Banning Lewis Academy also got a significant boost from Joseph Bjegovich, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
Wiggins has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Banning Lewis Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-1.
Wiggins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Banning Lewis Academy will head out on the road to face off against Limon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Limon is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
