Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Cook Inlet Academy

Cook Inlet Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ian McGarry. The Cook Inlet Academy Eagles walked away with an 86-77 win over the Eagle River Wolves on Friday thanks in part to McGarry, who posted 47 points. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Cook Inlet Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Eagle River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Cook Inlet Academy and Kenai Central will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Cook Inlet Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Kenai Central likes a good challenge. As for Eagle River, they and Soldotna will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Eagle River is facing Soldotna at the right time seeing as Soldotna is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
