The Minatare Indians can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They rang in the new year with a 52-39 win over Creek Valley. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Minatare has managed all season.
Creek Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Timm, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and four blocks. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Jaxson Wickham was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Minatare's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Creek Valley, they bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
