Even though the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, the Pine Crest Panthers still came out on top. Pine Crest walked away with a 64-55 win over Oxbridge Academy. This was payback for Pine Crest, who suffered a 66-61 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Rowan Hoffman was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with seven blocks and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Wigoda, who scored ten points.
Pine Crest's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Oxbridge Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Pine Crest will be playing in front of their home fans against Inlet Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Inlet Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. Oxbridge Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jupiter Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Jupiter Christian is ranked 561st, while Oxbridge Academy is ranked 557th).
