On Friday Dora take on Melrose at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Dora have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Dora faced Logan in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dora skirted past Logan 28-26. The success represented a nice turnaround for Dora, who in their last game suffered a tough 6-48 defeat.
Meanwhile, Melrose were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their match against Tatum last Friday. Melrose fell just short of Tatum by a score of 34-36. Melrose's loss continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it five losses in a row.
Dora's win lifted them to 5-2 while Melrose's defeat dropped them down to 1-5. We'll see if Dora's success rolls on or if Melrose are able to steal their positive momentum.
