The Sabine Cardinals''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They claimed a resounding 70-12 victory over White Oak on the road. The victory was just what Sabine needed coming off of a 54-21 loss in their prior matchup.
Colt Sparks got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 225 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. Sparks was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Cade Silvertooth, who rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Sabine's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for White Oak, their defeat was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10.
Sabine will take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sabine in Texas (Jefferson is ranked 267th, while Sabine is ranked 699th). As for White Oak, they will head out on the road to face off against Gladewater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
