The Pittsburg Pirates can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 87-54 win over Antioch at home. Given Pittsburg's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Antioch is ranked 585th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pittsburg had a senior duo take command as Jeremiah Collins scored 17 points and Kayshaun Hunte scored 15 points. Tyberius Campos-Reece was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Pittsburg's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Antioch, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-17.
Pittsburg will take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pittsburg's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 23 contests. Antioch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
