Last Thursday, Greater Grace Christian Academy strolled past Covenant Life with points to spare, taking the game 61-45.
Meanwhile, Maryland School for the Deaf came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 57-38 victory over Indiana School for the Deaf. Given Maryland School for the Deaf's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 79th in Maryland, while Indiana School for the Deaf is ranked 296th in Indiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Greater Grace Christian Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 18.67 points. As for Maryland School for the Deaf, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Greater Grace Christian Academy came up short against Maryland School for the Deaf in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 53-46. Can Greater Grace Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
