The biggest upset of the week belonged to Patterson, who took down 90th ranked Mergenthaler Vo-Tech, 28-0.
Dunbar extended the longest winning streak in Baltimore City Division I this week by beating Douglass, 8-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Poets.
City College's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Troy Robinson threw for 10 yards and Rodney Garvey had five yards receiving. On the ground Tayshawn Mayo chipped in 157 yards. Joel Gordon helped City College's passing attack out by catching two balls for five yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Brandon Oliver of the Mighty Ducks is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1015. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Black Knights' Mayo has rushed for 433 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Deion Petty. The City College star has 12 catches for 319 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Edmondson-Westside takes on City College. As it stands, the Red Storm are in first, while George Petrides' team is in fifth.
There should be lots of points scored when Edmondson-Westside and the Black Knights face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Dante Jones' team comes in having scored 195 this season, while City College has scored 188. The Red Storm scored 41 points last week as they beat Carver Vo-Tech.
The Clippers moved up to 85 from 114 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Baltimore City Division I. Patterson climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Mustangs 28-0.
