It's playoff time, and Millbrook had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 14-7 victory over the Hoggard Vikings on Friday. The Wildcats' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Leading Millbrook to victory were Brilison McCullers and Malachi Gilchrist. McCullers rushed for 45 yards and a pair of TDs, while Gilchrist picked up 103 receiving yards. That's the most receiving yards Gilchrist has posted since back in October.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Millbrook proved: they limited Hoggard to a paltry 0.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Rashad Streets for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Millbrook; they were averaging 5.8yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 4.8 per game (which corresponds perfectly with their time in the postseason).

Millbrook's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 4.5 sacks. Streets was especially locked on to Hoggard's QB and sacked him 3.5 times. Streets is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season. Millbrook got some further help from Kamari St. Clair: he picked up a sack and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Hoggard lost, don't look at Desyn Durand. Despite the final result, he picked up 92 receiving yards and one score.

Millbrook's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Hoggard, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Millbrook and Hough will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another on the 11th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildcats 5.5, the Huskies 7.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Hoggard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
