The Crossings Christian Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Millwood Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Crossings Christian never let their opponents score. They claimed a resounding 40-0 victory over Kellyville on the road. Given Crossings Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Kellyville is ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Crossings Christian can attribute much of their success to Luke Olson, who rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and Holden Manchester, who rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Olson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards.
Meanwhile, Millwood waltzed into Friday's matchup with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They breezed by Blackwell on the road to the tune of 48-0. That's two games straight that Millwood has won by exactly 48 points.
Their wins bumped Crossings Christian to 7-3 and Millwood to 9-1.
Crossings Christian came up short against Millwood when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 34-29. Can Crossings Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
