It was a good run, but the Trinity Christian Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 51-39 to Preston. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity Christian in their matchups with Preston: they've now lost four in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Cameryn Sypolt, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ella White, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Preston, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Trinity Christian will play host again and welcome Clay-Battelle, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Preston will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Uniontown at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. Uniontown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 574th in Pennsylvania, while Preston is ranked 46th in West Virginia).
