Volleyball Recap: Grayslake North's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Grayslake North can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the North Chicago Warhawks. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warhawks, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Grayslake North was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-10.

Among those leading the charge was Alex Christoffel, who had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last six matchups. Josh Hercog also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Grayslake North was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Chicago only served one ace.

Grayslake North picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for North Chicago, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Grayslake North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Lakes on the 17th. As for North Chicago, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Waukegan on the 19th.
