Summerville (S.C.) saw its 21-point lead dwindle to nine, but still managed to hang on and upset
Bluffton (S.C.) 31-22 on Saturday.
The Green Wave were up 21-0 at the half after taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter.
Summerville saw its 21-point halftime lead fall to 14 entering the fourth.
The loss came as a surprise for the Bobcats, which entered the game ranked No. 15 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for South Carolina, while SHS was ranked No. 38.
Davon Anderson played well for the Green Wave in the victory. The junior running back ran for one touchdown.
C.J. Frazier made a difference for Bluffton. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to seven on the year.

Shameik Blackshear, BHS came in allowing just 10.0 points per game this season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Bluffton, which notched a 63-12 victory over Colleton County in its previous outing.
