Armwood (Seffner, Fla.) extended its winning streak to five games with a 28-9 victory over
Jefferson (Tampa, Fla.) on Saturday.
The Dragons pulled ahead on a field goal, and subsequently went into halftime leading 9-7. The Hawks took the lead to win the game on a kick return touchdown by
Talvin Bailey in the third quarter.
Jefferson's lone touchdown came on a 23-yard pass from undefined to
Chavez Pownell in the second quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for Jefferson, which notched a 39-22 victory over Robinson in its previous outing. The loss ended Jefferson's three-game winning streak.
Jefferson (3-1) goes up against Leto in a 6A District 8 game matchup next week, while Armwood (5-0) locks horns with Leto also in a 6A District 8 game.
