Konos Academy won the last time they faced the Central Christian Crusaders, and things went their way on Saturday too. Konos Academy walked away with a 55-47 victory over Central Christian. The win made it back-to-back wins for Konos Academy.
Konos Academy found their leader in underclassman Samuel Brezina, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Knapp, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Konos Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Central Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Konos Academy and Calvary Christian will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing isn't great for Calvary Christian: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Konos Academy has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Central Christian is on the road again on Monday and play against CrossPointe Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. CrossPointe Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
