Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Morgan Fisher, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Ava Olson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mankato East came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 73-44 win over John Marshall on the road.
Owatonna's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Mankato East, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
