Roncalli and Columbus North are an even 5-5 against one another  since January of 2015, but  not for long. The Roncalli Royals will head out on the road to  take on  the Columbus North Bull Dogs at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Roncalli scored the most points they've had all season to find success  last Wednesday. They managed a  69-65 win over Indianapolis Bishop Chatard. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
 Roncalli found their leader in underclassman  Elliot Leffler, who  scored 15 points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.  Jasmine Horsman was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with five  rebounds.
 Columbus North can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   57-49  victory over Rushville.
 Columbus North can attribute much of their success to   Miley McClellan, who  scored 12 points along with six  rebounds and five  steals, and   Kaylie Harmon, who  scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was  Avery Johnson, who  scored seven points.
 Roncalli's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Columbus North,  the  win  got them back to even at 11-11.
 Thursday's  matchup will pit two  of the most dominant  guards against one another:  Leffler and  Harmon. Leffler has been dynamite this season: she has averaged 12.6 points, 1.6  steals, and 4.8  rebounds. For her part,  Harmon  has averaged 13.5 points, 1  steals, and 2.5  assists.
 Everything went Roncalli's way against Columbus North in their previous matchup  back in January of 2023 as Roncalli made off with a  63-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roncalli since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
