Hay Springs is 1-8 against Gordon-Rushville since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Hay Springs Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gordon-Rushville Mustangs  at 7:00  p.m. Hay Springs knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Gordon-Rushville likes a good challenge.
Last Saturday, Hay Springs got the win against Leyton  by a conclusive  66-44.
 Hay Springs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Dylan Young, who  dropped  a double-double on 24  points and ten  boards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaron Dahlgren, who  shot 4-for-6 from long range and  dropped  a double-double on 21  points and 12  boards.
Meanwhile, Gordon-Rushville had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with  a   50-37  victory over Bayard  on Saturday. That looming  50-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this  season.
 Hay Springs better keep an eye on  Daniel Martins. He was instrumental in Gordon-Rushville's win,  almost  dropping  a triple-double on 17  points, 11  boards,  and nine  steals. Another player making a difference was  Braylon Holston, who  went 5 of 7  on his way to 11 points in addition to six  rebounds and four  steals.
 Hay Springs now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Gordon-Rushville, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
This contest  is shaping up to be a blowout:  Hay Springs hasn't had any problem running up the score this season,  having  averaged 55.8 points per game. It's a different story for Gordon-Rushville, though, as  they've been averaging  only 39 points. The only thing between Hay Springs and another offensive beatdown is Gordon-Rushville. Will they be able to keep them contained?
 Everything came up roses for Hay Springs against Gordon-Rushville in their previous meeting  back in January of 2024, as the  team secured  a  69-33 victory. Does  Hay Springs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gordon-Rushville turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
