Christian Fellowship has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on Sunnydale Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Christian Fellowship posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 60-30 win over Liberty Christian Academy. With that win, Christian Fellowship brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Christian Fellowship relied on the efforts of Ariya Barton, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds, and Brooke Grathwohl, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grathwohl has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Kate Bradley, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Sunnydale Academy came tearing into back in December of 2023's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Heartland Christian Academy 53-25 at home. With Sunnydale Academy ahead 31-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Christian Fellowship has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Sunnydale Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Christian Fellowship might still be hurting after the 61-37 defeat they got from Sunnydale Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Christian Fellowship avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
