The Belton-Honea Path Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 78-55 walloping at the hands of Wren. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Abijah Franklin, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds for Wren. Franklin is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Campbell, who scored 19 points along with four steals.
Belton-Honea Path has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Wren, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.
Belton-Honea Path does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wren, they will head out on the road to face off against Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wren knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Southside likes a good challenge.
