The Oswego East Wolves won the last time they faced the West Aurora Blackhawks, and things went their way on Thursday too. Oswego East snuck past the Blackhawks with a 50-46 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oswego East.
West Aurora's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklynn Johnson, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmony Rush, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds.
Oswego East has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for West Aurora, they dropped their record down to 10-16 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Oswego East will take on the North Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Charles North presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wolves in Illinois (the North Stars are ranked 18th, while the Wolves are ranked 146th). As for West Aurora, they will square off against the Dukes & Duchesses at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
