Jackson is 8-1 against Escambia County since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Jackson Aggies will head out on the road to challenge the Escambia County Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Jackson is looking to tack on another W to their 17-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Jackson gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 72-52 margin over Citronelle. Jackson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Tyra Caves and Jazmine Jones were among the main playmakers for Jackson as the former scored 11 points along with six assists and three steals and the latter scored 12 points along with four steals. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for 17 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Erica Walton, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Escambia County beat Satsuma 45-32 last Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Escambia County.
Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Escambia County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Jackson strolled past Escambia County in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 57-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
