Sterlington (La.) defeat
Ferriday (La.) 63-34 after a solid game from
Austin Haman, who rushed for four touchdowns. The scores gave the senior 10 touchdowns for the year.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Haman in the first quarter, the Panthers were up 49-20 at the half.
Haman and
Jaylon Wade ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Trojans.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 49-34 win for Sterlington.
The loss was the third in a row for Ferriday. The win brought Sterlington's winning streak to three games.
Ferriday (2-4) goes up against Oak Grove in a 2A District 2 game matchup next week, while Sterlington (5-1) locks horns with Winnfield also in a 2A District 2 game.
