The Brevard Blue Devils entered their tilt with the Hendersonville Bearcats with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. The result was nothing new for Brevard, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Brevard found their leader in underclassman Benjamin Kessinger, who threw for 134 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Dillon Galloway, who picked up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Patton and 3-6 Hendersonville (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.7% over those games). As for Hendersonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brevard will take on Polk County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Polk County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Brevard is ranked 105th). As for Hendersonville, they will be playing at home against Patton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Patton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
