The Seton Catholic Central Knights waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Lake Placid 46-8 at home. That looming 46-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Seton Catholic Central yet this season.
Seton Catholic Central was led to victory by Gabriella Conti and Grace Trombley. Conti scored 17 points along with four steals, while Trombley scored 22 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Trombley has scored at least a third of Seton Catholic Central's points. Chloe Lawliss was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Seton Catholic Central now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lake Placid, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic Central will take on Northern Adirondack at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Placid, they will head out on the road to take on Indian Lake Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
