Girard is on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while the Tigers are on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Girard Yellowjackets will take on the Fairview Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Girard is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in Pennsylvania (the Yellowjackets are ranked 112th, while the Tigers are ranked 453rd).
Last Friday, Girard was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to the Lakers.
Meanwhile, Fairview scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 68-40 victory over Northwestern.
Girard's defeat ended a 14-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-2. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
Girard beat the Tigers 49-36 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Girard have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
