The Snow Canyon Warriors will be playing at home against the Pine View Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Snow Canyon will be looking to keep their 17-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
On Wednesday, Snow Canyon beat the Mustangs 64-53. 64 seems to be a good number for Snow Canyon as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Owen Mackay was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more points the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Kelsch, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pine View came up short against the Thunder on Friday and fell 55-45. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pine View has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Pine View got a solid performance out of Nash Schroeder, who scored 19 points along with five steals. Schroeder is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Schmitt, who scored five points.
Snow Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Pine View, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
Snow Canyon couldn't quite finish off the Panthers when the teams last played back in January and fell 61-58. Will Snow Canyon have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
