Christian Learning Center has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host Center Place at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Christian Learning Center will be strutting in after a victory while Center Place will be coming in after a loss.
On Thursday, Christian Learning Center beat Clinton Christian Academy 45-35. Given Christian Learning Center's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 62nd in Kansas, while Clinton Christian Academy is ranked 249th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Callie Trezona and Rylie Allen were among the main playmakers for Christian Learning Center as the former scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals and the latter scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Allen hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Holly Cain was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Center Place's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Plaza Heights Christian Academy 33-27.
Christian Learning Center pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Center Place, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-2 record last season and are now at 2-5.
Everything came up roses for Christian Learning Center against Center Place in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 53-19 victory. With Christian Learning Center ahead 30-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
