Lathrop barely beat Livingston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 26-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Spartans have won eight matchups by more than 21 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lathrop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luz De Luna led the charge by throwing for 183 yards and three touchdowns. JaLeiyah Ray helped De Luna out on the ground, picking up 36 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lathrop's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Faith Butler.

The victory made it two in a row for Lathrop and bumps their season record up to 15-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-10 Johansen and 9-14 Livingston. As for Livingston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Lathrop wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-12 win against Central Valley on the 20th. As for Livingston, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-14 victory against Johansen on the 20th.
