The Milaca Wolves's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Pierz Pioneers at 7:15 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Milaca focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Milaca lost to Foley on the road by a decisive 66-52 margin. While losing is never fun, Milaca can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Foley is ranked 148th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from George Roehl, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Marudas, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Pierz earned a 58-46 win over Hinckley-Finlayson on Friday.
Milaca's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Pierz, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
Milaca ended up a good deal behind Pierz in their previous meeting two weeks ago, losing 69-54. Can Milaca avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
