Another player making a difference was Reese Binegar, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
Meanwhile, Crooksville hadn't done well against Philo recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Ceramics came out on top against the Electrics by a score of 15-12. The high-scoring effort was just what the Ceramics needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Brynn Lundell was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Mylin Driggs was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Monroe Central's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Crooksville, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-7 record.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Monroe Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Crooksville struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
