It was a good run, but Lakehill Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs 46-41. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.
Yavneh Academy can attribute much of their success to Brendy Eber, who posted nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Sacher, who had ten points and five rebounds.
Lakehill Prep's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-6. As for Yavneh Academy, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakehill Prep will head out to face off against Lone Star North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Yavneh Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Chisholm Trail Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chisholm Trail Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Yavneh Academy likes a good challenge.
