Douglass was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Towers 54-12. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Douglass are ranked far ahead of Towers in the MaxPreps state rankings. The game brought Douglass to 2-0 and dropped Towers to a mirror-image 0-2.
Douglass hope to keep the momentum going despite some extra time before their next contest against Business Engineering Science Tech at Lakewood Stadium at 5:30 PM in two weeks. Towers are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Druid Hills next week at Adams Stadium at 8:00 PM.
