While it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, Christian Fellowship were not quite the Wright City Wildcats's equal in the second half on Friday. Christian Fellowship took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wright City. Christian Fellowship has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Despite the loss, Christian Fellowship saw an underclassman step up: Ariya Barton scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Barton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Grace Heston was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Christian Fellowship's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Wright City, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
Christian Fellowship will be playing at home against Calvary Lutheran at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Wright City, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Charles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
