The Ragsdale Tigers were the 53-48 winner over the Northwest Guilford Vikings when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Ragsdale fell 48-39 to Northwest Guilford on Friday. Ragsdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Filip Rasuo, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Rasuo posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of KJ Burke, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds.
Ragsdale has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Northwest Guilford, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ragsdale will take on Western Guilford at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Guilford comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Northwest Guilford, they will head out on the road to take on Southwest Guilford at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Southwest Guilford's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 games.
