After flying high against the St. Clair County Fighting Saints on Tuesday, the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers came back down to earth. The match between John Carroll Catholic and Chilton County wasn't particularly close, with John Carroll Catholic falling 60-43.
Chilton County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Iasia Anderson out in front who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists. The matchup was Anderson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ishunti Brown was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
John Carroll Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Chilton County, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
John Carroll Catholic is on the road again on Thursday and play against Bessemer City at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Chilton County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Moody at 11:30 a.m. on December 22nd.
