The SA Roosevelt Rough Riders lost against the Reagan Rattlers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. SA Roosevelt ended up on the wrong side of a rough 42-21 walloping at the hands of Reagan. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for SA Roosevelt in their matchups with Reagan: they've now lost four in a row.
Cole Pryor got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 200 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Rayshun Hurt was another key contributor, rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown.
SA Roosevelt's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Reagan, Brandeis, and Johnson. As for Reagan, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
SA Roosevelt will be playing in front of their home fans against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Reagan, they will head out on the road to face off against Brandeis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brandeis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Reagan is ranked 41st).
