Nolan Hurlimann turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Friday. He produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. Nestucca is 2-1 when Hurlimann allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-5 otherwise.

Hurlimann's strong effort led Nestucca over Vernonia and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
