The Islamic Foundation Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 88-30 loss at the hands of Unity Christian Academy. Islamic Foundation was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-7.
Unity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shamar Coleman led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Coleman has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Aidan Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Islamic Foundation's defeat was their 14th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-10. As for Unity Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing College Prep of America the next time they take the court. Unity Christian Academy will head out to face College Prep of America at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Islamic Foundation will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
