Jesus Cruz and Jordan Hume were among the main playmakers for Miami-Yoder as the former posted 19 points along with seven steals and five boards and the latter dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Those seven steals gave Cruz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julian Beltran, who had six points and three steals.
Flagler kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 68-35 loss at the hands of Cheyenne Wells. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.
